Beaversafari

One meter length, with tail thirthyseven extra centimeters… Castor fiber. This is the largest rodent in Europe! In other words, “the beaver”.
These animals live on a diet of twigs and branches, and because they live in self-made lodges much branches are gnawed. You can see this within hundreds of meters  from the beaver lodge. Been gnawed and gnawed trees are everywhere in the surrounding. You will at least see fallen trees, ‘peeled’ branches, wood chips and the beaver lodge. With more luck, the paw prints, although often directly deleted by the tail, but it is of course, trophy hunting, so shoot… hold your camera ready! But beavers commit themselves to nothing. Having a low profile and being quiet are the keywords. Most likely you can spot them in the late summer evenings and early mornings. Nice in the country that has the midnight sun! We do not get enough of it, drive with us and sneak 45 minutes around in their habitat!
