Things to do

High Coast
The High Coast is located on the north eastern coast of Sweden, between Härnösand, Kramfors and Örnsköldsvik. The hilly coastline meets the Botnian Sea, and this area is excellent for a summer as well as a winter holiday!
Summer
The summer here is perfect for watersports (there is a little harbour at walking distance), hiking (hills with a beautiful view), mountain climbing (at Skuleberget are good climbing tracks), city trips (Sundsvall has a nice city centre and a mega shoppingmall) and to go mountainbiking or cycling.
Winter
Do you like to have an alternative winter holiday? Come to the ‘High Coast’ then! The winters are cold here, there is snow, ice and low temperatures (sometimes -25°C) from November until the beginning of May. The downhill skiing and snowboarding tracks are open from January untill April. Don’t expect large tracks, but nice and small tracks, perfect for beginners. You can also enjoy yourself with ice skating ( at Norafjarden you can follow a 40 km track), snow hiking, cross-country skiing (there are a lot of tracks with ligths), riding a snowmachine, sledding and enjoying the beautiful winter landscape. In winter it’s also possible to see the ‘norrskenet’ (northern lights). This beautiful nature fenomenon can be seen during a cold night, if it’s very cold and not too cloudy.
